Implementation of research and development results as a way to introduce product innovation at ANTEX II Sp. z o.o.
ANTEX is a dynamically developing company operating in the road and hydrotechnical construction sector.
The project assumed the implementation of the results of research and development contained in the report entitled “Research on the use of advanced ICT technologies as an integrator of design, execution and control processes in the” design and build “system.”
The results of the research work were implemented through:
- Purchase of necessary construction machinery, whose parameters are consistent with those described at the stage of research and development:
- two graders
- two bulldozers
- charger
- excavator with a weight of approx. 35 tons
- long range excavator
- 3 rubber rollers and 3 earth rollers
- recycler
- appropriate control systems for individual construction machines:
- integrated construction control systems (bulldozer, graders, rollers control systems, 2 GPS bases, ROVER type controller)
- unmanned geodetic system (drone)
- Purchase of three laptops and a desktop computer
- Purchase of Autocad Civil 3D software – 3 pieces
- Implementation works as:
- developing appropriate elements enabling work in BIM technology using IFC format files
- developing plug-in applications for the Industry Foundation Classes file browser to facilitate the use of software.
The purpose of the research was to check the possibility of using BIM technology in road construction at the design and construction stage.
The main intention of the Applicant was to introduce a product innovation into the offer consisting in the provision of a comprehensive service in the field of road construction performed in the “design and build” model based on the 3D model using the open IFC data exchange format, which allowed adjusting the company’s offer to the conditions prevailing on the works market construction.
