perspective
2014 - 2020

Visum Clinic Sp. z o.o. is an ophthalmic clinic for years dealing with the correction of visual defects in young people, presbyopia correction in the elderly, cataract removal and implantation of intraocular lenses, improving the quality of vision. The aim of the project was to implement the results of own R&D work in the field of cataract surgery, enabling patients to become independent from glasses or to significantly reduce vision defects. The implementation of the research results required the purchase of highly specialized equipment, software and modernization of rooms, enabling the widespread dissemination of the most modern methods of cataract treatment, as well as the improvement of the quality of medical services.Visum Clinic is the first ophthalmology clinic in Poland and one of the few in Europe where the traditional method of implanting a new type of diffractive lens with extended vision was undertaken. The method used is the most modern in the treatment of cataracts (cataracts), which is the most common cause of visual impairment. The implementation of the project not only ensured the continuation of the research conducted so far, but also gave the opportunity to increase the company’s competitiveness and join the global stream of currently conducted research on the effectiveness and methods of diffractive lens implantation. Thanks to the project, everyone, regardless of age and vision defects, has a chance to significantly improve the quality and scope of vision and to get rid of the tiring necessity to wear glasses. It is worth recalling that in Poland, over 800,000 people suffer from cataract – an eye disease that can lead to complete loss of vision people.
