Development of the Taranko Furniture Factory by implementing a design strategy
Taranko Furniture Factory is a company with several decades of tradition. Taranko furniture is characterized by high quality, rich design, classic style and varied colors. The company’s collections also include modern furniture models as well as furniture designed for the hotel industry.
As a result of the design audit carried out as part of the first stage of the activity, a design strategy was developed setting out directions of changes and improvements related to its implementation. The provisions in the strategy recommended the implementation in the company of many activities that led to the rebuilding of:
- visual communication of the company
- external communication
- internal communication
An important element of the changes was the introduction of product innovation in the form of 2 new furniture collections, thanks to which the changes were implemented:
- organizational
- process
- marketing
The implementation of the above changes involved the purchase of consultancy services:
- in the design of new products
- developing visual communication involving the creation of a coherent graphic language
- detailed design of the visual identity book
- designing market communication and internal company in the field of intellectual and industrial property protection
The following machines were purchased under the project:
- Edge banding machine for narrow surfaces.
- Scissor pallet truck – 5 pcs.
- Contact sealer for welding natural veneers.
- Electric high lift trolley, stacked.
- Numerically controlled corrugated plotter.
- Panel saw.
- Varnish application system.
- Computer controlled dryer.
- Numerically controlled drilling center with drilling module for short prototype series.
- 4 sided planer.
- 8 axis machining center.
- 12.4-axis numerically controlled machining center with software.
- Gas forklift with a minimum capacity of 4,500 kg.
- Dedusting installation with the use of a modular air cleaning filter.
