Implementation of the design strategy outcomes in relation with the introduction of new products in the Agaplast company.
Located in Olsztynek, the Agaplast company has been operating in the PVC industry for more than 30 years. The project is the response to the results of the in depth audit of the company prepared by the outside entity. Suggested strategy included recommendations concerning the implementation of the new products, including ecological production method. The project consisted of procurement of audit service developing design strategy. As a result completely new brand VARTCO has been created. It offers high quality garden hoses and technical food grade hoses. To launch mass production purchase of number of fixed assets was necessary. Machine park was therefore expanded with the complete production line of increased strength hoses and automatic system for the production of PVC granulate dedicated for the food industry. The launch of the new brand took place on February 2018, during Gardenia Fairs in Poznań. “Our products are lighter, more durable and more elastic. Additionally, they have great design – what our customers have quickly appreciated” – says Łukasz Kaczmarski, Agaplast CFO – “I can say today already, that it was profitable investment”. At present Agaplast offers full array of products – from ultralight orchard hoses, through traditional garden hoses, up to specialised items, like petrol and plant protection agents hoses, pressure hoses for compressors or food grade hoses. With the expansion of its offer the agaplast company has strengthen its market position.
