Construction of the 747 regional road from Radawiec to Konopnica intersection (S19)
Construction of the 747 regional road from Radawiec to Konopnica intersection has been coordinated by Lubelskie Voivodeship. The project included the construction of 4 km of new road, with additional infrastructure. Junctions with public, service and side roads have been constructed and individual exits remodeled. New service roads, bus bays, pedestrian and bike paths and surface drainage system have been created. New horizontal and vertical road markings as well as traffic safety features (including road and pedestrian crossing lamps) have been implemented. Trees and shrubs have been planted in some sections.
New connection has reduced traffic on local roads within the Konopnica place. New connection with S19 express road has significantly shorten the travel time to Konopnica junction in the bypass of Lublin, as the part of S19 express road (Rzeszów-Lublin-Białystok).Segment from Radawiec to Konopnica intersection is the last phase of 747 road reconstruction in the area of Lubelskie Voivodeship. Most sections of this investment have been implemented under the Operational Programme Eastern Poland. Completion of the task has influenced the safety of the road traffic participants as well as extra-urban mobility and – in a wider perspective – region’s accessibility.
