perspective
2014 - 2020

Novasome Research and Development Centre was founded in Wrocław in 2004, and its main area of operation is work in the field of medical sciences, pharmacy and cosmetics. The Centre conducts research based on knowledge and development of the latest technologies, as well as provides expert and analytical services. It invests in cutting-edge, innovative activities through regular cooperation with pharmaceutical companies and universities, such as the University of Wrocław, Wrocław University of Science and Technology or Wrocław Medical University. Since 2014, Novasome has been included in the elite group of entities that have been honoured by the Minister of Economy by granting it the status of a research and development centre. This status facilitates the introduction of innovations and commercialisation of inventions.

The company is a specialist in the professional conduct of research projects, from the stage of an idea and analysis of market opportunities, the development stage, to the transfer of methods from the laboratory to industrial production. It conducts preparation of full analytical and technological documentation necessary to register a medicinal product, dietary supplement or cosmetic. Pharmaceutical products developed by qualified Novasome staff are available on the market, some of which are patent protected. The centre also constantly works on the next new products, which are successively launched to the market.

In order to maintain continuous development, the company applied for an EU subsidy for the development of laboratories, including for the purchase and installation of modern analytical and technological equipment for the R&D department, as well as computers, server and software. In addition, employees have undergone specialised training, e.g. on the use of new research equipment. Part of the subsidy was allocated to the modernisation of the company’s headquarters so that the building could be adapted to the needs of the disabled.

It was not the first time for Novasome Research and Development Centre to benefit from EU funds. Thanks to them, a few years earlier it modernised its laboratories and created four new ones.
