perspective
2014 - 2020

Silence, birds singing, psithurism and relaxation … All this awaits us at the foot of the Sowie Mountains in Hotel Dębowy in Bielawa. Surrounded by a beautiful historic park, the building was built in 1904 on the request of Wolfgang Dierig, the largest entrepreneur in the textile industry at the time in Bielawa and the surrounding area. Dierig and his family lived there until 1945. Then the residence and adjacent buildings were transformed into a medical institution due to the climate in the region. The facility was closed in 2000 and sold to its current owners a year later. Thanks to their efforts, the building has been renovated and the entire complex has been entered in the register of monuments. After some time, the owners launched „Hotel Dębowy Biowellness & SPA.” The complex, due to its location and climate conducive to renewal and treatment, is very popular among tourists. The owners applied for funding for a project under which an apiforium (outdoor sauna) and a naturally conditioned swimming bio-pond were created in the palace park. Apitherapy is the foundation of the SPA’s functioning in the complex and it is a method of prevention, care and treatment with the use of products of bees such as: honey, bee pollen, royal jelly and putty. Products of bees are used, e.g., in the treatment of cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, skin and mucous membrane diseases, gynaecological diseases as well as allergic diseases and stress. As part of apitherapy, the complex offers honey compresses in the world’s only apitarium – a special honey-herb bathhouse, honey or bee pollen massage, anti-stress session in apiforium, and a relaxing bath in milk and honey. Hotel Dębowy is proud to have the first SPA in Poland that uses bee products and honey to care for health and beauty. Thanks to EU funding that the company received for apitherapy, the facility is even more popular among tourists.
