Construction of a model kindergarten building including the nursery part in Pieszyce
Children from Pieszyce who are at the kindergarten and nursery age may now start their educational adventure in a newly-built facility. The kindergarten has two hundred places while the new nursery can accommodate fifty infants. Pieszyce municipality applied for EU financing for that building and is the investor here. This state-of-the-art facility is a low-energy one and its model role is based on low energy consumption as well as low maintenance costs.
The kindergarten had photo-voltaic panels and heat pumps installed. Children can take advantage of a large multi-functional playroom and a playground. One may also find here a fully equipped pantry and a car park for 60 cars. Another interesting idea applied was creating a green terrace on the roof of the building. Thanks to such a solution children spend more time outside and maintain contact with nature. The little ones can grow their own vegetables and learn how healthy food affects functioning of a human body.
