Retrofitting the Vocational Development Centre in Mikoszów as a chance to improve the quality and efficiency of work of disabled people
Approximately 5 million disabled people live in Poland, whilst only 15% of them are professionally active. The Vocational Development Centre in Mikoszów is one of the organizational units of the Association of Saint Celestine, providing people with the opportunity of social inclusion through work. In order for this mission to be carried out it was necessary to retrofit the pottery sections of the institution as well as the garden area. For this purpose, ceramic furnaces and tractors with trailers and accessories were purchased. This project complements one of the activities of the Association for vocational rehabilitation, especially for people with severe disabilities. It primarily provides the opportunity for employment and active inclusion of people at risk of social exclusion, which significantly improves their life situation.
