Project description:
The aim of the project is to create a system using augmented reality techniques in design and production processes. The designed system is built on the basis of:
- a visual analysis of the operating environment that allows for optical linking of seen real objects with objects created virtually,
- a system of generating virtual objects, their positioning and scaling in a visualized image in proportion to seen real objects,
- a visualization control system using the identification of hand gestures.
The created solutions will be a tool for the development of dedicated applications created in the future for industrial applications. The effects of the project in combination with technologies such as databases, wireless communication, identification and authorization of digital information recipients will enable a wide implementation of augmented reality techniques in many areas of design and production.
Enriching the real-world environment with a virtual model allows significant savings and quality assurance in diagnostic, test and assembly processes. Eliminates paperwork, which has been successfully replaced by virtual instructions, helps to find assembly locations, provides additional information about the parameters and properties of the parts used.
