OPPORTUNITY - Social and professional activation of youth in the Lublin region - 2nd edition
The strategic objective of the Project was to improve psychosocial competencies and skills, the access to the labour market and professional activation of 120 young persons at 15-17 years of age (approximately 30% of girls) threatened with social exclusion and struggling with educational or/and behavioural problems. The Project was implemented in 19 educational care facilities, including attendance centres within the jurisdiction of Circuit Courts in Lublin and Zamość. The Project participants were provided with the support incorporating social, educational and vocational, and health care services, including psychotherapeutic activities. On top of that the Project participants were trained and participated in apprenticeship to the extent, inter alia, of such professions as make-up and styling, waitering, hairdressing or storekeeper and fork-lift operator. The Project implementation contributed to the increased involvement in social activities by means of modelling social competencies, professional and educational activities and improving job seeking opportunities and developing professional qualifications and competencies. It bears noting that, inter alia, 143 persons out of the target number of 120 persons participated in the Project and approximately 80% of the Project participants obtained professional qualifications evidenced by relevant successful completion certificates.
