perspective
2014 - 2020

The project aimed to fully harness the potential of the Palace and Park Complex in Pęcice and restore the former glory of this unique heritage site. Through the implemented measures, access to culture was increased, and Polish cultural heritage was promoted. The comprehensive renovation of the site and the enhancement of its cultural functions contributed to the socio-economic development of both the Michałowice municipality and the Mazovia region.

The historic palace became an attractive “cultural product” of the region, supporting the development of cultural tourism and attracting both domestic and international visitors. The project revitalized the local community, fostering its activity and creating a platform for cooperation in socio-economic development. It also helped prevent social exclusion of selected groups while promoting valuable initiatives.

Before the project began, the main challenge was the underutilization of the potential of the Pęcice Palace, mainly due to its poor technical condition and partial closure. As part of the project activities, a comprehensive renovation was carried out, significantly improving access to cultural resources, including for people with disabilities.

The results of the project included a more than 10% increase in the annual number of visitors, a 15% rise in the area used for cultural purposes, the implementation of modern energy-efficient solutions, and the diversification of funding sources, which reduced maintenance costs. The project also contributed to increased employment and significantly boosted the tourist attractiveness of Mazovia.

The cultural and educational offer, prepared in collaboration with the creative sector, adhered to universal design principles. Project partners conducted documentation and promotional activities, making the palace an open space for the local community and tourists. As a result, a new, enriched cultural and educational offer was developed, introducing innovative forms of cultural participation, new substantive elements, and reaching new audiences. These activities helped build cultural awareness and strengthen social bonds.
