Implementation of conservation, restoration and construction works at the castle in Sucha Beskidzka - the most valuable monument of Renaissance art in Western Malopolska Region
The Castle in Sucha Beskidzka is considered the most valuable monument of Renaissance art in Western Malopolska Region. It is entered into the register of immovable monuments of the Malopolska Region. The castle and its surroundings, including the arcaded courtyard, the complex of farm buildings, the park together with the pond, bridge and stand are in the area of the historic urban system entered into the register of immovable monuments. The complex is also located in zone A of the Strict Conservation Conservation of the city of Sucha Beskidzka. The subject of the project was the revaluation of the external elements of the Castle and historic buildings in the park. This is an important element of revitalizing local tourism. In the field of land development, construction works concerned the hardened surface – a new stone floor was built together with the foundation, lawns and decorative trees were planted, reconstruction of the sanitary and rainwater sewage system was executed. The project also envisaged changing the yard elevations for the purposes of profiling the floor for rainwater runoff to the designed sewage inlets. Insulation work on the walls of the building foundation was also carried out, and the walls were protected against moisture.
