Revitalization of the Strzelecki Park in Tarnow
Strzelecki Park located in the centre of Tarnow is one of the places most frequently visited by the residents of the city. The area is famous for its rich vegetation and perennial trees – some of them are natural monuments.
With the help of EU funds this historic area has been taken care of. The withered by time structures, such as: entrance gate, fence, fountain, have been renovated and secured against further deterioration. The renovation included also the general Józef Bem mausoleum with its illumination, located in the middle of the park pond. The alleys were renovated and rebuilt, and the greenery in the park was cleaned up.
EU funds also helped to develop part of the park into sensory garden with an auditorium (stage and auditorium), creating possibility to organize many events integrating Tarnow residents and attracting the tourists.
