Development of a public recreation and tourist area in the center of Poronin nad Poroniec Brook.
The project is related to the development of the area by the Poroniec Brook in Poronin for recreational and tourist purposes. This place has exceptionally good communication access. The facility is in the immediate vicinity of the Malopolska network of bicycle paths (section VeloDunajec B from Zakopane to Nowy Targ). The project included the construction of a volleyball court and an outdoor gym with 10 recreational exercise equipment pieces. A roofed wooden gazebo was also built, in the event of adverse weather conditions it will enable sheltering. The whole area is equipped with benches, bench tables, swings and playground elements. In order to meet the needs of people riding bicycles, two 6-bike stands were also installed. The area has been fenced and fully illuminated. The created infrastructure is also available for people with disabilities. The implemented project had a positive impact on increasing the role of active and leisure tourism in the municipality of Poronin and created a place accessible to all. Integration and activation of the municipality inhabitants have increased. This place is available to residents and tourists throughout the year and is a new tourist product. Using the natural brook and space with high landscape values, it creates a unique recreation point in the entire Podhale subregion.
