Construction of a graduation tower with a salt chamber in Bochnia
The subject of the project was the construction of a graduation tower with accompanying recreational facilities, elements of small architecture and technical infrastructure. A graduation tower with an inhalation chamber was constructed, a communication system in the form of a maneuvering square, sports facilities, a playground and an outdoor gym were built. New plantings and trees have been provided there, and they made the place even more attractive. The total area of the site is almost 8,000 m2, and the graduation tower itself with brine channels is 536 m2 (including the inhalation chamber – approx. 75 m2). The rest of the facility is occupied by a playground, an outdoor gym and a recreational area for all users. The project aims at increasing the competitiveness and tourist attractiveness of Bochnia by exposing the salt (salt-related) heritage providing the city’s unique character. Such natural materials as larch wood, blackthorn bushes, as well as such modern materials as corten steel and self-cleaning glass were used for the construction of the graduation towers. Inside the building there is a courtyard with a paved stone surface, where you can walk freely. The graduation tower and its surroundings refer to the neighboring park, creating a coherent whole. The lighting used in the project ensures a high level of energy efficiency with an ecological character.
