Development of the Krakow Center for Rehabilitation and Orthopedics aimed at improving the efficiency and organization of the health care system in the context of the changing demographic and epidemiological situation.
The Krakow Center for Rehabilitation and Orthopedics is a facility that provides health care services. The aim of the project was to expand the Department of Traumatology, Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, within which the Surgery Ward operates together with the Central Sterilization Unit and the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy. The investment included the expansion and reconstruction of the operating theater building together with facilities that included: a recovery room, an Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit, an isolation room, X-ray and USG rooms, densitometry, connector and accompanying rooms (storage, social and sanitary facilities). The newly adapted rooms allowed the facility to improve the quality of services rendered and increase the comfort of patients undergoing treatment. The investment also covered the purchase of all the necessary medical equipment and apparatus, execution of construction and installation works as well as development of the environment using professional technological solutions. The modern facility has been fully adapted to the needs of people with physical disabilities – a ramp for wheelchairs and a hospital crane have been installed. On each floor, sanitary facilities have got an increased maneuvering area, a set of handrails and ceramics adapted to the needs of the people.
