A comprehensive system for developing adult skills and abilities in line with the needs of the regional economy
It is an integrated project that includes training and courses targeted at adults in the field of computer science and foreign languages, as well as post-graduate studies and vocational training. The city of Łomża is the leader of the project, and the partners are poviats: bielski, hajnowski, kolneński, łomżyński, siemiatycki, Wysokie Mazowieckie and zambrowski. The FSNT NOT in Łomża is also a partner.
Residents of Łomża and partner poviats can take part in courses and trainings. They choose trainings or studies that are carried out by an institution registered in the so-called Development Services Database. Vouchers and courses are directed especially for people 50+ and people with low qualifications, and those living in rural areas.
As a result of the project, residents improve their competences and skills, acquire qualifications that will improve their situation on the labour market. Project participants can also benefit from vocational counseling provided in one of the 9 service offices. People interested in participation can get help in diagnosing their needs and choosing the right educational offer.
The initiative is innovative. A very wide range of residents can take part in lifelong learning, and thus acquire new skills and improve their professional situation.
