Improving the efficiency and accessibility of medical services based on the treatment department and the anesthesiology and intensive care unit of the Hospital in Hajnówka for the treatment of diseases that are an important reason for the deactivation of adults
Thanks to the financial support from the Programme, the hospital in Hajnówka modernised and equipped the operating block of the anesthesiology and intensive care unit as well as the X-ray laboratory. In addition, the hospital’s Emergency Department was rebuilt.
– This is a very important day for our hospital. We are putting into operation key areas of every hospital – said Grzegorz Tomaszuk, director of the hospital. He emphasized the importance of modernizing the operating theater and the anesthesiology and intensive care unit, calling this unit the “heart of the hospital”.
The main goal of the project was to improve the quality, efficiency and accessibility to medical services in the field of general surgery, orthopedic trauma surgery, anesthesiology and intensive care, postoperative rehabilitation and pain treatment. The modernization included the construction works, purchase of medical devices and specialized equipment.
