Idea Lab - Development of existing R&D facilities ML System
The main objective of the project was to extend the R&D activity in ML System by developing the existing research and development facilities. The Photovoltaic Research and Development Centre (FCBR) and the Research Centre for Electronic Microcircuits (CBME) were expanded. A common element of FCBR and CBME was the creation of the so-called Live Lab, as well as conducting research on BIPV solutions in large-size objects. Its specific objectives (effects influencing the strengthening of institutional capabilities in the scope of R&D works in the Company) were, among others: stimulation of the intellectual potential of the Company influencing the increase of innovativeness of Podkarpackie Voivodeship, development of innovative enterprises/scientific units in the region. Achievement of the above objectives was possible thanks to the implementation of the project, including the tasks presented within 4 research areas defined in the Research Agenda. The scope of the project was included in the RIS in the leading specialization “Quality of life”, the area of eco-technologies.Thanks to the implementation of the project it is possible to test ideas that operate in the laboratory and transfer them to mass production. They are used in Smart City facilities (e.g. park lamps, lighting poles, parking shelters). In the newly created Live Lab (experimental laboratory), products are tested in conditions similar to natural conditions. In this way, the company gains confidence that they will work well, even when exposed to extreme weather conditions.
