Increase of the share of energy from renewable sources in the territory of ROF
The subject of the project is to build and launch 123 new photovoltaic installations located within and designated for use by public purpose institutions in communes located in the Rzeszów Functional Area. Within the project there will be made photovoltaic installations used to convert solar energy into electricity with a capacity from 3.6 kW to 108 kW.
The main objective of the project is to increase the share of production and use of electricity from renewable energy sources (photovoltaic installations) installed in the Rzeszów Functional Area. It will be achieved through the following specific objectives: installation and start-up of photovoltaic installations allowing to reduce the need for municipal facilities to purchase electricity from external sources; modernization of the energy production process resulting in the reduction of emissions of harmful gases and dust into the atmosphere; promoting the installation of renewable energy sources in terms of economic and social benefits.
The product of the project will be 123 newly built electricity generation units with a total installed capacity of 2.66 MWe. The project will be implemented by the end of 2018, which will enable an annual electricity production of 1,824.09 MWh/year. T
he project will also result in an estimated decrease in greenhouse gas emissions by 1,455.61 tonnes of CO2 equivalent/year. Implementation of the project is included in the Low-Emission Economy Plan binding in the territory of the ROF. The implementation of the investment is planned for a period of 2 years, i.e. 2017-2018.
