Implementation of EDM and services from e-health and telemedicine fields in The University Maritime and Tropical Medicine Center in Gdynia
The University Maritime and Tropical Medicine Center located in Gdynia is working on a project named „Implementation of EDM and services from e-health and telemedicine fields in The University Maritime and Tropical Medicine Center in Gdynia”, which is co-financed from European Founds in the Regional Operational Programme for Pomorskie Voivodship for years 2014-2020.The main goal of this project is to increase the standard of provided healthcare services offered by our hospital and to match their current day requirements. That means that we are trying to add another channel of communication with our hospital. We are planning to publish and give access to our Patient Portal, where You will be able to check Your test results or register to a doctor in our clinic. We believe that this will be a huge improvement in communicating with our hospital and that it will be less time consuming and stressful.The project involves a whole new interoperational software implementation combined from: HIS, ERP, RIS/PACS, electronic workflow and security systems. Implementation of such system will allow publishing e-services for patients and development in tele radiology and teleconsultations. For the system to work failure-free it is needed to exchange our out-of-date computers (including computers for diagnostic imaging), creating and equipping a backup server room and changing our current router to a secure UTM device.
