Gdynia odNowa: Urban regeneration of the western part of Witomino-Radiostacja district
Project Objective
The objective of the “Gdynia odNowa: Urban regeneration of the western part of Witomino-Radiostacja district” is a complex renewal of the western part of the Witomino-Radionstacja district encompassing an area of approx. 37 ha, with a population of 5300 inhabitants. The renewal strategy strategy of this area had been individually specified in the Municipal Regeneration Programme and is aimed at limiting social exclusion and increasing the sense of responsibility by encouraging social participation and involvement in the local community.
The following investments have been planned within this project:
- Establishing a community centre with a library, dedicated to developing social functions
- Developing the area around the SP 35 Primary School between Uczniowska and Nauczycielska Streets
- Creating a pedestrian and vehicle route, and public spaces
- Refurbisheing selected elelemnts of the common areas of the buildings belonging to aPartner Houosisn Assiciations
- Development of Nauczycielska Street
The above investments will be caried out in close cooperation with the resident. The residents will able to submit their comments, postulates and suggestions at a dedicated consultation point. NGOs will also be invited.
This project is closely correlated with “Gdynia odNowa: Development of social services for the community of Oksywie” co-financed by the European Social Fund under the Regional Programme of the Pomeranian Voivodeship for 2014-2020.
