Water and sewage management in Sosnowiec - stage III
The Municipality of Sosnowiec, in cooperation with Sosnowieckie Wodociągi S.A., will improve the state of the natural environment by reducing surface water pollution caused by discharge of raw sewage directly into the soil. The implementation of the project will result in creation of an efficient and tight sewage system in Maczki, part of Kazimierz, part of Ostrowy Górnicze and western part of Bór. In addition, another goal is to improve the reliability of water supply for the residents of Maczki and parts of Ostrowy Górnicze.
The investment includes 10 contracts (7 for construction works, 1 for supplies and 2 for services), under which over 26 km of sanitary sewage system will be built 7 sewage pumping stations and about 4 km of storm water drainage (construction of rainwater pumping station with a retention tank). In addition, the construction of an evaporation and infiltration tank has been planned as a rainwater receiver and the construction and reconstruction of over 11 km of water supply network with connections, as well as the purchase of a car for the operation of the sewage network.
The undertaking will improve the life quality of the inhabitants of Sosnowiec It will enable connecting sewage network to nearly 3.3 thousand new users. The same number of people will also benefit from an improved wastewater treatment system.
