Revitalization of the manor and park complex in Sieciechowice, its adaptation to a new function as the International Centre for Artistic Exchange (MOWA), a gallery complex with accommodation facilities and the headquarters of the ARTE NOVUM Foundation
The former manor house in Sieciechowice was restored and transformed into the International Centre for Artistic Exchange (MOWA), all with significant support from European Funds.
In its heyday, the manor was the seat of the Kaszycki and Rey families. Later, sadly, it fell into ruin. Now it has been rebuilt and revitalized – its original architectural details have been restored and the interiors have been refreshed – revamped and turned into a vibrant centre of culture and art
At MOWA, artists from different parts of the world meet, create and share their knowledge. Concerts, exhibitions, workshops and many other events in the field of audio-visual arts take place here. Residents have their own studio and apartment at their disposal, as well as a common space where they can exchange experience. Moreover, the enjoy access to sculpture studios, VR and 3-print stations, and a music room with a Bechstein piano from 1923.
The implementation of the project has a positive impact on the local economy and the Iwanowice commune community, and also on the promotion of the region and the cultural position of Małopolska and Poland on the international arena.
