Senior Clubs in Kodeń Municipality
The objective of the Project is to improve accessibility and quality of the welfare services for 26 persons who are above 60 years of age, including 23 women and 3 men socially excluded or threatened with social exclusion and poverty in the Municipality of Kodeń. Thanks to the financial contribution from the European Union 3 Senior Clubs have been established in Kodeń, Kostomłoty and Zabłocie to become the meeting places for the elderly persons. In those clubs the atmosphere is friendly and sociable and seniors get spontaneously involved in a variety of initiatives. They are the persons to decide on the matters and affairs related to the clubs that integrate seniors and support their active participation but most of all ensure good company in their neighbourhood. These clubs also provide for developing habits to the extent of active, creative leisure time, upskilling, coping with new situations and adaptation to the realms of the contemporary world. The participants may spend all of their free time or take part in the classes/activities of their own choice.
