Construction of the Spa Park on Rakutowa Street with utilities
Beneficial effects of water on organism can be enjoyed in the Spa Park in Ciężkowice, which was established thanks to funds from the European Union in the eastern part of the town between the hill on Rakutowa and the northern side of the Skamieniałe Miasto Reserve. Thanks to the EU Funds, a complex of facilities and equipment for hydrotherapy was built. Here you can bathe, tread water or take a walk while listening to the relaxing sound of the water.
The concept of the park is based on the therapy methods practised by the Bavarian clergyman Sebastian Kneipp, according to whom the best way to toughen up the body is to alternately pour water at different temperatures. This stimulates blood circulation and metabolism and has a positive effect on the immune system.
The park offers attractions for the whole family. There is also a playground for children, a sensory garden, an arboretum (a dendrologic garden), an alpine garden (a garden made of rocks and earth with mountain vegetation) or a gym. The complex is divided into four zones: the zone of the forest and walking paths, the zone of relaxation for children and adults, the zone of the balneology complex, the zone of natural relaxation.
