Employment with my chance
As part of the project, two new departments were created – a handicraft shop “Artistic Haven” and a confectionery “Na polance”. Additionally, rooms were adapted for the needs of the water laundry. The work was found here by 26 people with severe or moderate disability, who were diagnosed as autistic, mentally handicapped or mentally ill, from the districts of Brzozowski, Krosno, Jasielski, Sanok, Strzyżowski and the town of Krosno.
Permanent employment in the Department of Professional Activity under the care of specialized staff facilitates the acquisition of new professional skills and adaptation to the environment in the workplace. This reduces the risk of failure in the form of e.g. job abandonment. Regular pay is also an opportunity to become more independent, which in turn contributes to a greater self-esteem and usefulness in the family and society. The skills acquired and a good reputation may make it easier to find employment on the open labour market in the future.
Services provided by Krosno’s ZAZ have already become a permanent part of the region’s economy. Companies and institutions cooperating with the plant as well as individual customers appreciate the commitment and high quality of work of people with disabilities. This is an important stimulus which encourages regular use of the services of the facility. It brings great satisfaction to both parties.
