The Polish Network of EMC Laboratories (EMC-LabNet) is a scientific and technological consortium composed of five leading Polish research institutions: Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Rzeszów University of Technology, Białystok University of Technology, the Military University of Technology, and the Research and Development Marine Technology Centre S.A. (OBR Centrum Techniki Morskiej S.A.). The consortium conducts scientific research and provides testing services in various aspects of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

“The Polish Network of EMC Laboratories (EMC-LabNet)” is also a project of modernization and expansion of the above-mentioned consortium’s EMC research infrastructure. As a result of the project, a unique, consolidated and strategic technical infrastructure was established in the form of a network of specialized EMC laboratories with diverse specializations.

The laboratories provide an excellent technical base for conducting advanced experimental scientific research, development work, as well as comprehensive R&D and certification services in the field of electromagnetic compatibility. This includes generating and studying the effects of various electromagnetic phenomena and disturbances, as well as experimental verification of the effectiveness of measures protecting devices and systems against the impact of different electromagnetic phenomena (such as lightning strokes, high-energy surges or electromagnetic radiation) and against unintended leakage of processed and transmitted information. The aim of this research is to improve the functioning and competitiveness of the Polish economy, increase state security, and protect the natural environment, people, devices and systems. It also serves to educate scientific and engineering staff in the field of EMC issues.

The expanded EMC-LabNet infrastructure is used by scientists and engineers from various industries, such as ICT, military technology, aviation, maritime, automotive, space, etc.

The EMC-LabNet project involved the construction of new test stands and the modernization and expansion of existing ones, as well the construction of laboratory facilities at Rzeszów University of Technology and of a new laboratory hall at the Research and Development Marine Technology Centre S.A.

Detailed information about the EMC-LabNet infrastructure and its research offer can be found at the website: https://emc-labnet.pwr.edu.pl.
