"Let’s meet in the courtyard" – Revitalization of the interiors of the housing quarters in Nowa Huta.
The European funds helped to develop 8 courtyards in the area of old Nowa Huta. These works resulted in creation of attractive spaces encouraging the residents, particularly seniors and persons with disabilities, to spend their free time together and undertake various forms of activity.
The interiors of the housing quarters undergone complex revitalization. The necessary renovation of squares, playgrounds and sidewalks was carried out and the area became green due to new plantings. New constructions appeared, such as benches, multi-functional seats, bicycle stands, pergolas, structures for drying laundry, or elements limiting access to the green area. The works were executed in close cooperation with landscape architects and residents, to answer their needs in the best way and also to begin the process of integration and community building already at this stage.
