Municipal Cultural Centre in Nowy Targ – adaptation and modernisation of the building through reconstruction, extension and superstructure together with environment development
The modern headquarters of the Municipal Cultural Centre in Nowy Targ is the new pride of the city. The largest cultural institution operating in the region was opened in 2021 under a new name following a two-year renovation – the Municipal Cultural Centre. The comprehensive reconstruction and expansion allowed to modernise and equip the building and its surroundings. The layout of the entrances to the building was changed and its interior was completely reconstructed. A modern auditorium for nearly 500 people and backstage facilities for performing artists were created. The new MCC also features a professional music room and a conference room.
The famous fountain made of stone rams was also renovated as part of the works carried out, which are now back in their place. The works carried out provided the MCC with a building which allows it to run a modern cultural institution – cinema screenings, concerts and theatre performances are just a few of the activities organised in the venue.
