Social and Economic Innovation Cluster Zabłocie 20.22 Reconstruction and change of use of existing post-industrial facilities in Krakow at ul. Zabłocie 20-22
The Zabłocie 20.22 Social and Economic Innovation Cluster is a project initiated and implemented by the city of Kraków, the idea of which was to create an innovation and business centre in the former warehouse complex in Zabłocie. Thanks to the help of European Funds, two neglected buildings were restored and transformed into modern and energy-saving office and co-working spaces. Both buildings are adapted for persons with disabilities in terms of access, circulation inside and sanitary facilities.
The cluster is open to companies, organizations, startups, as well as scientific and research institutions that want to develop their ideas in an environment conducive to innovation. The following persons may use its premises free of charge – by way of illustration to conduct training, meetings, conferences or workshops – start-ups, non-profit organizations and social initiatives.
The cluster not only provides a place to work, but also offers mentoring for entrepreneurs to develop their skills. It has become a meeting point and exchange of knowledge and experience between various sectors of the economy, providing the opportunity to establish business contacts and find investors.
