The operator of machines for plastics processing – this is one of the most desirable professions on the Podlaskie labor market. In response to this demand, the Complex of Vocational Schools no. 2 in Białystok has launched a new class. The class was opened under the patronage of the KAN company.
The new class was created as part of a project implemented by the the Complex of Vocational Schools no. 2 in Białystok. It is an integrated project, which means that is consists of two parts, the so-called “soft” one and the infrastructure one.
As part of the project, students can take advantage of a wide range of courses, classes and internships in companies. The school has also organized meetings with employers, during which students learn a lot of practical information about the professions.
The school expanded its educational offer with two new fields of study. These include: an automation technician and an operator of machines for plastics processing. Importantly, the latter class is created under the patronage of the KAN company. The Kan company is a recognized producer of water and heating installations.
The new class consists of 29 pupils, and its graduates, after a three-year period of study, can be offered jobs in the KAN company, which is the patron of the project.
The graduates can also continue their education in a 2-year industry secondary school, to the level of technical secondary school and further higher education in technical studies.
As part of the project, students can also get attractive scholarships. What is important students can obtain practical vocational training in real conditions at the employer’s premises and get knowledge from experienced specialists.
Nrext, the teachers can improving their qualifications and professional competences by taking part in trainings and courses.
Finally, in the second part of this integrated project, the city of Białystok will modernise the workshop and didactic building and buy modern teaching equipment. In these up-to-date laboratories students will learn the profession and improve their skills.
The project was implemented from February 2019 to the end of June 2021.
