Implementation of technology for processing round coniferous wood using multi-section manipulation and thermal modification
PHU “Konar” Wojciech Stasiełuk is an enterprise with over thirty years of experience in processing wood, mainly coniferous species. The subject of the project was the investment in tangible assets needed for plant expansion and diversification of its product offer. It allowed PHU “Konar” to significantly increase, more than twice, its production capacity and efficiency. The Applicant, in cooperation with the Faculty of Production and Power Engineering of the Agricultural University in Kraków, conducted a number of R&D works, which resulted in the development and implementation of an efficient and economically viable technology for processing round coniferous wood with the use of multi-section manipulation and thermal modification. It led to introducing, to the domestic and foreign markets, high-class segregated wood for construction and decorative-finishing purposes. These are products with higher quality and strength parameters, including thermo-modified ones with extended durability in internal and external conditions of use and increased resistance to destructive factors (biotic factors, fire and weather conditions).
