Improving energy efficiency of buildings of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński's Provincial Specialist Hospital, Independent Public Health Care Center in Lublin
The primary goal of the project is improving energy efficiency in the buildings of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński’s Provincial Specialist Hospital, Independent Public Health Care Center in Lublin. The scope of this project includes:
- overhaul of mechanical ventilation installation and introduction of recuperation,
- modernizing central heating installation in regards to replacing thermostatic valves with digitally-controlled valves,
- replacing fluorescent lamps with LED lamps,
- installing photovoltaic installation on Building C,
- modernizing heating network and heating substation in Building H.
Furthermore, framework of the project includes installation of the BMS system (a system for measuring, monitoring and managing energy consumption in buildings) which will facilitate servicing technical installations and ensure more efficient management of energy consumption through maintaining optimal parameters within individual installations and simultaneously will ensure that the heating comfort during the period of use is maintained.
The project will yield the following results:
- energy modernization of 7 buildings
- heat energy savings in the amount of 4 700 GJ/year
- electric energy savings in the amount of nearly 1500 MWh/year,
- generating renewable energy by way of renewable energy installations
in the amount of 30 MWhe/year,
- Estimated decrease in emission of greenhouse gasses in the amount of 1400 tons of equivalent of CO2.
- Lowering annual consumption of primary energy in public buildings by the amount exceeding 5 400 000 kWh/year.
