Revitalization of degraded areas of the Municipalities of Tarnobrzeg, Nowa Dęba, Baranów Sandomierski and Gorzyce
The goal and main result of the project are to reduce social problems in degraded areas of the municipalities of Tarnobrzeg, Nowa Dęba, Baranow Sandomierski, and Gorzyce by restoring or giving new social, economic, recreational, and tourist functions to the infrastructure covered by the material scope of the proposal. The municipality of Tarnobrzeg plans to develop the Tarnobrzeg Lake area degraded after the sulfur industry for recreational, economic, and tourist purposes. The Nowa Dęba municipality plans to rebuild a residential building after the metal works for social and economic purposes, Baranów Sandomierski plans to expand and rebuild a sports hall for recreational, social, and educational purposes, Gorzyce plans to organize and develop degraded space, while the Parish in Chmielów plans to rebuild/renovate the parsonage premises for the purpose of creating a community center to serve the needs of the region’s residents. Properly prepared infrastructure will serve the goals of social inclusion and poverty alleviation and will enhance employment opportunities. The material scope presented in the application is part of comprehensive revitalization activities of degraded areas, aimed at social inclusion, improvement of the quality of life of residents, and economic revitalization of the Tarnobrzeg Functional Area. Implementation of the in-kind scope will contribute to the improvement of social and territorial cohesion, in socially degraded areas and increase the opportunity for comprehensive local development.
