Review and update of flood risk management plans
The subject of the project is to review and update of flood risk management plans (PZRP) – this is an obligation under Art. 173 paragraph 19-21 of the Water Law Act, necessary for the implementation of the provisions of Art. 14 section 3 of the Floods Directive. Reviews and updates of PZRP in accordance with the principles of the Floods Directive are prepared as the third, final stage of the development of planning documents under the 2nd planning cycle (after updating the Preliminary flood risk assessment (WORP) and updating the Flood hazard map (MZP) and Flood risk maps (MRP)).
The main goal of the project is to reduce the diagnosed potential negative effects of floods on human life and health, the environment, cultural heritage and economic activity for areas exposed to the risk of flooding. This is the purpose of flood risk management, in line with the Water Law and the Floods Directive.
