Young enthusiasts of programming and information technology can learn and develop their skills in InfoTech technical school in Białystok (Technikum Programistycznym INFOTECH). The school aims to prepare competent and qualified employees for the new technologies industry.
The School was launched in September 2019. It was initiated by companies that operate in the INFOTECH Technology Cluster. They noticed the need to educate future employees in IT industry. The school puts emphasis on cooperation with business and hands-on experience. It revolves around the concept of “Silicon Forest”, as the best place for growth of technological companies.
Thanks to the grant from the regional programme, the school carried out educational activities, trainings and internships for students. They took part in additional mathematics, computer science and English classes. They develop their interests in additional robotics and programming clubs.
Professional internships have been a valuable experience for pupils. They completed them in leading IT companies in Podlaskie. It has been a good opportunity to learn from developers and IT specialists. Such internships will increase the chances of students on the market. It was possible thanks to the cooperation between the school and business.
Teachers have also taken advantage of the development opportunities. Thanks to the project, they received training on how to conduct educational experiments and use modern technologies in education. They raised their knowledge and qualifications during postgraduate studies.
