Reduction of social, economic and spatial problems in the municipality of Lubaczow through the revitalization of degraded post-oil and post-industrial buildings together with the development of the surroundings
The main objective of the project is to create conditions for the growth of entrepreneurship and the integration and activation of residents, through the renovation of degraded objects and spaces, leading to the solution of diagnosed social problems. The project involves the following investment tasks:
1) Expansion and reconstruction of the Basznia station building – Railway Gallery – through the expansion and reconstruction of the station building and outbuildings located in its surroundings into a Railway Gallery (Task 1), as well as comprehensive restoration of the locomotive and carriages (Task 2) and maintenance of bridge objects (Task 3) which will constitute exhibits;
2) Giving new functions to the post-railroad objects, together with the development of the surroundings functionally related to the building – the water water tower in Tymce and the Basznia Dolna station – through the reconstruction of the station to serve as social and sanitary facilities for the observatory, together with the reconstruction of the access road (Tasks 4 and 7), and through the reconstruction of the water tower and the hydrophore building for the observatory, together with the reconstruction of the internal road between the observatory and the facilities (Tasks 5 and 7);
3) Reconstruction and superstructure of the former Milk Catchment Plant – through reconstruction, superstructure and change of use to be used as a building for business activities, together with development of the adjacent surroundings.
4) Expansion and reconstruction of the historic parsonage into a Chamber of Remembrance – through the reconstruction of the building to give new social functions with the purpose of creating a local chamber of remembrance dedicated to the history of Basznia Dolna and the surrounding area.
Reconstruction and expansion of post-railroad, post-state farm and post-industrial facilities will contribute to the creation of an aesthetically pleasing and functional space and an increase in the aesthetics of the revitalization area. Giving new functions to objects for social, cultural, educational, tourist and economic purposes will influence the leveling of diagnosed problems, primarily social ones.
