Creation of an integrated public transport system in the KOSI area - stage II
The Project will be implemented in the area of Konin Strategic Intervention Area, in the area of Konin County, Wielkopolskie Voivodeship. Direct Beneficiaries will be the Project Partners, viz: City of Konin and Municipalities : Golina, Kazimierz Biskupi, Kramsk, Rzgów, Stare Miasto, Ślesin. The ultimate beneficiaries will be the residents of the K OSI area. Implementation of the project will reduce harmful carbon dioxide emissions and improve the environment, improve traffic safety, and increase the attractiveness of travel by public transport by improving transport accessibility.
The project will also bring about an increase in the cohesion and intermodality of the transport system. The overarching goal of this project is to create an integrated public transportation system in the K OSI by increasing the integration of various modes of transportation, adapting the municipal rolling stock to the requirements of EU environmental and EU technical standards, reducing air pollution through the development of clean forms of individual and public transportation reducing the use of passenger cars in the K OSI, and installing energy-efficient street lighting.
