Flood protection in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship
As part of the project implementation, it is planned to perform two tasks in the “design and build” procedure:
1. Reconstruction of the Miroszewo – Brzózki flood protection embankment at km 6 + 500 – 8 + 160 ”.The material scope of the task will be a flood embankment with a length of approximately 1.74 km, meeting the technical parameters for class III embankments, in order to close the embankment system by linking to the elevation of the area. The embankment’s drainage slope will be strengthened with gabion baskets, while the strengthening of the embankment’s crown with a geogrid filled with a mixture of crushed aggregate. In the section where it is not possible to construct the earth body of the embankment, a mobile flood protection system is to be built – about 183 m long. At the exit from the embankment crown, a reinforced concrete retaining wall is to be built. Due to the location of the existing communication routes, an embankment passage has been designed for communication with the technical lane on the pre-embankment.
2. Reconstruction of the right flood embankment over the Royal Canal at km 0 + 000 – 0 + 400 with the embankment culvert. The material scope will be a flood embankment along the right bank of the Royal Canal, approximately 0.4 km long. Within the scope of the material scope, an embankment with a trapezoidal shape of a cross-section will be constructed, located in the place of the existing embankment, strengthened from the reverse side with biological reinforcement of flat turf patches. The crown of the embankment will be reinforced with a geogrid with small cells. The front embankment with a trapezoidal shape of the cross-section with double-sided shelves will be attached to the modernized right-hand embankment and the existing left-hand embankment in order to connect two lines of embankments, which is to achieve the complexity of the embankment. In the frontal embankment, a shaft culvert with spindle gates will be made, approximately 13.6 m long, and an exit to join the existing communication route running along the left bank of the Royal Canal. The project is a stationary project.
