perspective
2014 - 2020

In 2002 UNESCO invoked in Polesie Transboundary Biosphere Reserve “West Polesie” (further TBRWP) for environment heritage protection. Unfortunately, that move didn’t improve tourism in the area, including Ludwin-Ustylug partnership’s region. The weaknesses that occur are: tourists’ poor knowledge about attractions in TBRWP, lack of detailed attractions, weak cooperation of advertising companies, narrow and standardized offer for tourists, weak marketing an promotion in the region. After redevelopment and implementation of the attractive weekend offers for tourists, the area can be visited by Volyn and Lublin agglomerations. That is the reason why main target group of people are short term visitors. In general, the project’ s goal is to promote natural heritage in Polesie, including attractions in Ludwin and Ustylug regions, for weekend tourists, using modern ways of territorial marketing within 9 months. The project, by natural heritage marketing, will provide to the partners necessary knowledge and tools to commence and implement new tourism offer, that will result in increase of attractiveness and image improvement of Polesie, including Ludwin and Ustylug regions, and as consequence – will enlarge the tourism in the region. The main product of the project will be “Game of Polesie”, connecting board game with LARP game taking place in Polesie, including Ludwin and Ustylug areas. Witihn “Game of Polesie” project the following subproducts will be prepared: – Game of Polesie logo – Trainings of natural heritage marketing training – Surveys of TBRWP heritage areas considered in games – Games’ scenarios – Bilingual board game and LARP game with interactions – Cross-border events finalising the games – Promotion campaign Polesie is Polish and Ukrainian common nature heritage, that is why cross-border cooperation in the project is essential to retain both, Polish and Ukrainian, parts and to deliver common knowledge and integrated management system.
