Stanisław Firszt "STANPAUL"
STANPAUL specialises in the production of bathroom and kitchen worktops, sink sets and single sinks. The beneficiary’s offer also includes bar and reception counters, sink bowls, drainage lines, sink plugs and original lighting.
The aim of this investment was to initiate production of an innovative design project. The project concerned a model line of sinks made from solid surface materials. The product was designed with the disabled in mind.
The concept for the line was developed as part of the 1st stage of the subsidy. It was developed by a team of designers from the Faculty of Industrial Design at the Academy of Fine Arts (ASP) in Kraków. Safety and ergonomy of use, material quality and a lack of harmful health effects were among the objectives of the innovation. The guidelines for the project also took into account the aforementioned possibility for the sinks to be used by people with physical disabilities as well as the visually impaired. In addition, the line also follows global design trends.
The design of the line is covered by the material property rights of Stanisław Firszt, the owner of STANPAUL. The company is also entitled to use the ASP logo in all activities connected with the model line, in particular when putting it on the sinks.
Launching production of the model line of sinks made from solid surface materials required the beneficiary to configure a new production line. The company’s fixed assets and know-how were put to use for this purpose.
Meanwhile, the EU support allowed the machines required for the production process to be purchased, which, along with the knowledge acquired with regard to producing furniture from solid surface materials, enabled the beneficiary to start serial production of the sinks.
