Implementation of a design strategy as a key element in the development of "Kamen” Locksmith and Boilermaking Workhop
“KAMEN” Locksmith and Boilermaking Workshop Janusz Kamenczak has been a manufacturer of steel central heating boilers for over 30 years. The project is a response to the dynamic development of the boilermaking industry and growing competitiveness in the market, which results from changes in environmental awareness, environmental protection and contractors’ ever-increasing product requirements. The project activities consisted in, among other things, the implementation of a new brand architecture and related marketing strategy, the creation of new positions, the acquisition of new competences in design process management and product design, and the purchase of fixed assets to implement product innovation. With the EU co-financing, the enterprise purchased: a welding kit for tanks, a laser for pipes and profiles, a robotised MIG/MAG welding machine and a CNC press brake. Thanks to the new equipment, we could to expand our offer with a new boiler model, as well as buffer tanks and valve-pump-heat exchange modules, which upgrade modern central heating systems. Our entire product line has taken on a consistent, modern look that sets it apart from the competition.
