Polish ANSP (Air Navigation Service Provider) infrastructure development – phase II
The project consists of over forty investments in communication, navigation, surveillance infrastructure and systems located through the country and used to ensure safe and efficient air traffic management. The development of CNS infrastructure will enable the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency to provide safe and efficient air navigation in a dynamically growing air traffic in the Polish airspace.
As part of the project, the following will be put into operation: air traffic control tower in Katowice, four modern MSSR (Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar) secondary surveillance radars, providing extended secondary Mode S radar information up to 200 NM, a multilateral system in Warsaw, over 20 ground stations located throughout the country, providing better radio communication for air traffic controllers and pilots, 8,33 kHz channel spacing below FL 195 and navigation infrastructure, as DVOR/DMEs and ILS/DMEs in Poznań and Łódź enabling operations in limited visibility
