Carrying out investments in the form of construction works and the purchase of fixed assets to implement product and process innovation at the production facility of WITPOL Sp. z o.o.
The aim of the project was to implement the results of the research on vegetable beverage dearomatization during the production process to get rid of an undesirable bean off-flavour carried out at the commission of WITPOL. As a result of the conducted research works, a technology (manufacturing method/process innovation) was developed to introduce a product innovation, namely plant-based drinks free of unpleasant bean odour. The innovation was implemented on the basis of patent application no. P.427436 and a positive report on the current state of the art. Thanks to the project, a significantly improved plant-based beverage with a new feature on the European scale was launched. The scope of works also included the adaptation of the production and building premises for manufacturing vegetable beverages and the purchase, supply and installation of a processing line, a packaging line and a mechanical installation. The production hall and the current registered office of the company are located in Stodzewo, in the Garwolin district.
Comment:
The project led to an increase in WITPOL’s competitiveness. Our plant-based drinks, made from soya, oats, almonds, rice and coconut, are produced with an innovative grain processing method that significantly reduces undesirable bean- and bitter-flavoured compounds. Our drinks are free of the bean and bitter aftertaste that competitors have to mask by adding artificial flavours. Our drinks are naturally tasty.
