Closer to the family and the child - support for families experiencing care and upbringing problems and support for foster care - 3rd edition
The main objective of the project is to increase access to social services provided in the Opolskie Voivodeship for families experiencing care and upbringing problems as well as foster care, which will allow to eliminate deficits or dysfunctions of the above mentioned institutions. groups and prophylactically prevent their marginalization. Support under the project will be addressed both to natural families having difficulties in caring for children, as well as to children and youth placed in foster care and their guardians (foster families).
The project provides for two types of activities:
- to support a family experiencing care and upbringing problems,
- foster care support – a total of 43 tasks.
The main problems it addresses are:
- insufficient number of services provided to the above-mentioned entities. families,
- foster care foster children,
- carers and young people becoming independent,
- the need to develop activities leading to a move away from institutional care.
The project was developed by the partnership of the Regional Center for Social Policy with FSLD Opolskie Centrum Demokracji Lokalnej in Opole and the Ambasada Sukcesu Association based in Staniszcze Wielkie, and in partnership with entities belonging to the public finance sector, i.e. the municipalities of Biała, Paczków, Popielów, Skoroszyce, Prudnik, Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Turawa, Jemielnica, Nysa and Lewin Brzeski and the counties: Krapkowice, Prudnik, Strzelecki, Opole and Olesno.
