perspective
2007 - 2013

Nowolazurowa Street was designed as a communitaction connection of three districts: Ursus, Włochy and Bemowo, located in the western part of the city. The implementation of the investment was aimed at creating a significant inter-district connection in the city’s communication system, significantly improving the transport accessibility of the districts with high investment opportunities and developing the city’s infrastructure. The subject of the project was the construction of a dual carriageway, two lanes, class G street section – main road, along with accompanying infrastructure: lighting, drainage, traffic light system, bilateral pedestrian and bicycle routes. Public transport has been planned along the entire length of the section, therefore bus stops in the bays have been built. At the intersection with the Warsaw-Katowice railway line, a viaduct was built along Nowolazurowa Street. A two-level solution is planned at the intersection with the Warsaw-Poznań railway line: a tunnel along Nowolazurowa street. The implementation of infrastructure protecting the environment in the form of sound absorbing screens, separators and settlers in the street drainage system is envisaged. The length of the first stage section was about 3 km.

Implementation of the project ensured inter-district connection in the western part of the city, which has an impact on the improvement of internal traffic service within Włochy, Ursus and Bemowo districts in Warsaw, related to existing and planned housing estates and service centers. The construction of Nowolazurowa street allowed to relieve the transport system of local traffic. Facilitated the connection with the exit routes from the city.
