Modernization of the street route Marsa - Żołnierska on the section Marsa node - city border - stage II
The subject of the project was the modernization of voivodship road No. 637 and 631 (street of Marsa – Żołnierska streets) to the parameters of the main accelerated road (GP). The investment required reconstruction of the local road system, existing infrastructure and implementation of devices limiting the negative impact of road traffic on the environment. The project concerned the reconstruction of the existing stretch of Marsa-Żołnierska streets from the Marsa junction (Naddnieprzańska street) to the border of the city of Warsaw. The length of the section is about 4.8 km. The elements of the investment was included:
- Reconstruction of the main road to the parameters of the main accelerated road (GP):- construction of 5 collision-free journeys: along Marsa street over railroad tracks, along Marsa street over ul. Chełmżyńska-Okularowa, and over the intersection of Żołnierska, Rekrucka and Marsa Streets, along Żołnierska Street over railroad tracks, along Żołnierska Street at the “New-Zabraniecka” junction, along Żołnierska Street at the “Czwartaków” node – 9 engineering facilities will be jointly built (road viaducts and flyovers),- construction of a collision-free foot and bicycle bridge (1 engineering facility)- reconstruction of the node with Strażacka street,- construction of the node with Czwartaków street,- construction of a second roadway from Strażacka street to the city border of Warsaw,- reconstruction of the intersection of Marsa streets with Chełmżyńska-Okularowa streets and the intersection of Marsa streets with Żołnierska/Rekrucka streets.
- Construction and reconstruction of streets of the local transport system, including:- construction of local streets along Marsa streets – on both sides,- construction and reconstruction of Optyczna / Babie Lato streets,- reconstruction of intersections.
- Separation of pedestrian and bicycle traffic – construction of separate communication routes.4. Reconstruction of public transport stops.5. Reconstruction of the collision technical infrastructure.6. Construction of lighting and storm water drainage.7. Construction of environmental protection devices (acoustic screens, “quiet” road surface, insulating greenery, culverts, rainwater purification devices).
The main goal of the project was to implement a road connection with increased capacity and load capacity, which is a direct link between the communication node which is the city of Warsaw and the international road network TEN-T. The implementation of the project was increased the country’s transport accessibility in both the European and national system, as it was implemented high-quality road connections to the international TEN-T network, and ensured high-quality inter-regional and intra-regional transport connections
