Implementation of IT Solutions at the Institute of Mother and Child with the Aim of introducing an Electronic System for Managing Medical Documentation) and for Rendering Online Services
The Institute of Mother and Child provides medical services protecting the life of mother and child, based on a research and development unit with Poland-wide scope. The Institute, via specialist clinics, sees over 100,000 people every year, while approximately 14,000 children are given hospital treatment.
Wanting to increase the reach of its services, the Institute invited the following to participate in the project: the Children’s Hospital in Dziekanów Leśny, and independent public health care institutions in Kołbiel, Celestynów, and Wieliszew.
The co-financing obtained from European funds made it possible to launch a modern ICT system. Electronic document circulation was introduced, as well as eight (8) eservices of the highest degree of maturity, thanks to which matters can be comprehensively sorted out via the telemedical system. These are: e-rounds, e-registration, collection of e-results with access to the patient’s electronic documentation, rescheduling appointments with a doctor, e-medical history, e-consultation, and e-self-inspection.
This is in response to patients’ needs, and for ensuring efficient hospital service.
